Alana Wilson’s work takes inspiration from ancient Greek ruins at the bottom of the ocean, the water’s memory, and old, decaying objects, yet the artist herself is fashionable, metropolitan, and free. Wilson’s handmade ceramics remain in tune with nature, and invite feelings of empathy and even sorrow. They resonate deeply with me, and I feel they stir up long lost memories and emotion inside of me.
